The ice breaker is the informal start to OCEANS 2022. It provides an opportunity for registrants to meet and greet others before the formal start on Tuesday morning. The Virginia Aquarium and Marine Science Center provides the perfect setting with all of its exhibits and marine life. Join us for a very special MARACOOS Founder’s Day, honoring our founders Carolyn Thoroughgood, Scott Glenn, Ed Kelly, Bill Boicourt, Wendell Brown, and our beloved local colleague, the late Larry Atkinson. The event will begin with MTS President, Zdenka Willis, the original Director of US IOOS, and Carl Gouldman, the current Director of US IOOS. |
