6:00pm – 8:00pm Ice Breaker Reception at Virginia Beach Aquarium

  • The movie SONIC SEA will be shown at the Aquarium. Don’t miss the special screening of this Emmy Award winning film!
    • Following the screening we’ll be joined by co-producer Joel Reynolds, Senior Attorney with Natural Resources Defense Council

The ice breaker is the informal start to OCEANS 2022. It provides an opportunity for registrants to meet and greet others before the formal start on Tuesday morning. The Virginia Aquarium and Marine Science Center provides the perfect setting with all of its exhibits and marine life.

Join us for a very special MARACOOS Founder’s Day, honoring our founders Carolyn Thoroughgood, Scott Glenn, Ed Kelly, Bill Boicourt, Wendell Brown, and our beloved local colleague, the late Larry Atkinson.
